About Annie Marie
Hello, my name is Annie—though most know me as Anna. I’m a proud mother of two sons and one daughter, holding a Bachelor of Science in Business and a Master of Science in Information Technology Management.
For nearly a decade, my professional life was in the accounting world—but poetry has been at the heart of me since I was a teenager. When all I had to my name were the clothes on my back, I could always find pen and paper. So, I wrote. And I kept writing.
I believe our words are powerful instruments. They can speak death, or they can speak life. I choose life—and my hope is that you’ll find, in these pages, the inspiration to move forward, to know you are not alone, and to plant seeds of hope in your own way.
My debut poetry collection, Seeds of Hope: For Love of Life, launches alongside this blog. I illustrated my own book cover and even painted it large to hang above my bed—keeping my vision close when life tried to distract me.
I first dreamed of starting this blog in 2015. Years passed, life happened, but this vision stayed. That’s how I know I’m meant to do this—to create a space for readers and writers to connect, to reflect, and to see the beauty and power in the words we share.
And so here I am—R.A.W.
